Certainly one of the stars of NAB 2013 is Blackmagic’s announcement of the Blackmagic Cinema Pocket Camera.

This has been compared to Super 16mm in terms of sensor size, features Cinema DNG recording with 13 stops of dynamic range – and can also record ProRes (HQ).

Lens can be attached via an active Micro Four Thirds lens mount and, via adapters, many other lenses will also be able to be fitted.
The camera is small and powerful and is expected to available in July, 2013 for $995.

* Built in LCD for camera settings via easy to use menus.
* Supports 1080HD resolution capture in 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps.
* Compatible with DaVinci Resolve Lite color grading software.
* Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is available in July for US$995 from Blackmagic Design resellers worldwide.
